NOTICES

• The boil order for Hiltop Drive, Briarwood and Haley Drive has been lifted.

• 11/03/09  Hilltop Drive, Briarwood and Haley Drive are on a boil order until further notice due to a water main break.

• 9/29/09 to 9/30/09 The City of Hillsboro will be oiling the following roads Smith Road, Lakeside Knolls, City Lake Road, Glenn Shoals Drive and Pinnacle Point.

• 7/2/09 THE BOIL ORDER FOR HILLSBORO WATER CUSTOMERS HAS BEEN CANCELLED

• 6/29/09 A Boil order has been issued for all Hillsboro water customers until further notice.

• 6/4/09 Boil order for Northwood Circle has been cancelled.

• 5/27/09 Boil order for Northwood Circle (main break) until further notice

• 5/4//09 BOIL ORDER FOR NORTHWOOD CIRCLE HAS BEEN LIFTED

• April 30th Boil order for Northwood Circle (due to water leak) until further notice

• 3/18/09 Boil order for City Lake Road and Country Club has been lifted

• Water will be shut off on City Lake Road Wednesday 3/18/09 for about 2 hrs beginning at 8:30 am there will be a boil order for the Buttol Addition, Country Club, and all of City Lake Road  until further notice.

• Council meetings are the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at City Hall at 7:00 pm.

• February 20th 2009 boil order for Lakewood Estates has been cancelled.

• February 17th 2009, a boil order has been issued for all of Lakewood Estates until further notice.

Hillsboro Open Burning Ordinance

ENCOURAGED AND RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES TO OPEN BURNING OF LANDSCAPE WASTE

The City of Hillsboro encourages and recommends the following alternatives to open burning of landscape waste:

     (A)  Shredding of leaves while mowing and leaving the mulch on the lawn to add nutrients to the soil:

     (B) Mulching of grass clippings and/or shredding of leaves while mowing and using shredded leaves and/or grass clippings to mulch around shrubs and garden plants;

     (C) Mulching of grass clippings and/or shredding of leaves while mowing, collecting clippings and shredded leaves, and creating an on-site compost pile.
